What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They help websites remember information about your visit.
Cookies We Use
TaskPomo uses the following cookies:
- admin_session — Admin panel authentication (httpOnly, secure, 24h expiry)
- NEXT_LOCALE — Your preferred language (1 year expiry)
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) — Loads anonymous analytics for usage patterns and performance. GTM may set its own cookies. No data is shared with advertisers.
Local Storage
We also use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store:
- Timer settings (duration, daily goal)
- Theme preference (dark/light)
- Active timer state (survives page refresh)
- Notification sound preference
This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to our servers.
How to Control Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling the authentication cookie will prevent you from staying logged in. Disabling the locale cookie will reset your language preference on each visit.
